Too much occultism mixed in with this experience. Beware demonic deceptions. Suggest reading The Beautiful Side of Evil by Joanna Michaelson and Malachi Martin's Hostage to the Devil chapter 5 "The Rooster and the Tortoise". My gut tells me you're bright light and dark robes don't conform to most other NDEs with these same properties.

As a small child I started seeing spirits it went on into my 30s . I've always had a love hate relationship with this ability as I said I don't experience what I used to but I have strong senses when they are present even if I can't see them.

There is a book about a NDE called "Embraced By The Light" by Betty J. Eadie. There is another book on a NDE called " Saved By The Light" by Dannion Brinkley. Is one of these the book that you remembered as "I Saw The Light"?
