Sounds like the reason NDE are so different is because every individual does not go to the same stages of "death". Being conceived to being born takes 9 months process and tge rest of your life is a process to. "Death " is also a process but its may a longer one.
In one NDE of a woman was told by her dead relatives if she went further in there would no return from that point.
