Bruce Greyson, M.D., is the Chester F. Carlson Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry & Neurobehavioral Sciences and Director Emeritus of the Division of Perceptual Experiments at the University of Virginia. He was a single of the founders of the International Association for Near-Death Scientific studies, and for 27 several years edited the Journal of Near-Death Studies. Dr. Greyson majored in psychology at Cornell College, acquired his health care degree from the SUNY Upstate Health-related Higher education, and accomplished his psychiatric residency at the University of Virginia. He practiced and taught psychiatry at the College of Michigan and the University of Connecticut, the place he was Clinical Chief of Psychiatry, in advance of returning to the University of Virginia 25 many years in the past. Dr. Greyson’s research for the past four decades has centered on the aftereffects and implications of near-death experiences. He is co-editor of The Near-Death Experience: Difficulties, Prospective buyers, Views, co-creator of Irreducible Mind: Toward a Psychology for the 21st Century, and creator of Soon after: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Expose about Existence and Over and above.
