  1. So interesting hearing Curtis talk about these levels/degrees of heaven and hell… we have that here on Earth! We find the place/atmosphere/circle of people that is palatable to us, and we stay there a while, until we decide we want to move “up“ or “down.” The founder of Christian Science said, “The design of Love is to reform the sinner. If the sinner’s punishment here has been insufficient to reform him, the good man’s heaven would be a hell to the sinner. They, who know not purity and affection by experience, can never find bliss in the blessed company of Truth and Love simply through translation into another sphere. Divine Science reveals the necessity of sufficient suffering, either before or after death, to quench the love of sin.” And yes, I definitely don’t believe God punishes people for the sake of revenge or what have you… it’s more of a naturally occurring process. When I think about people who find pleasure in harming others to some degree all hangin’ out together, each person would be receiving harm, and this suffering would eventually push them away from the “evil” or false love towards true Love/Good. Scientifically speaking, evil truly destroys itself leaving God/Love standing strong, unharmed, everlasting.

  2. I only recently discovered Swedenborg after my husband died a couple of months ago and I had so many questions and religion and normal biblical text just didn't seem to have the answers. I think our ancestors knew more than we do about death.

  3. So true Curtis and I feel that God also created a world where we can also do what does not serve others and ultimately does not serve our own souls either, and this is all wrapped up in the free will given by God to every human soul to make our choices while living here on the earth plane.

God did not desire anything less than usefulness, the love we all have intrinsically as we are, as you say, a part of God. But free will allows to do bad things (consequences is also a fact)

We all encompass love, truth and wisdom as a part of God our divine creator, but we need to relocate it, seek these qualities within the soul, and we shall find.

I believe me finding Off The Left Eye, was no coincidence…this is part of my seeking journey to discover more and more about God (who is infinite) and in the process discover who I really am.

I thank you so much for bringing us Swedenbourgh. I love you Curtis. God bless you.

  4. I have learnt that because God gave FREE will to the SOUL, we will always have this free will even when we get to the world of spirits.

We are not our bodies; bodies die but we don't because we are souls and it is us souls clothed in our spiritual bodies, that return after our physical bodies die.

Now because you still have free will, you can choose to stay in hell if that's what you want. However, you can use this same free will to grow in love and truth so move out of hell to a better place…towards heaven and ultimately heaven.

No soul has to stay in hell: in the same way no one has to stay in the same state while they're in the body here on earth. We can choose.

We can always choose. God doesn't choose for us but is always there when we decide to turn and choose Him. .

  5. But why was this created in the first place? Why should hell exist? Couldn't God just create a universe that is good everywhere and all souls didn't have to suffer? I don't really see the point of this sort of challenge to choose heaven or hell.

Also…at least on Earth, we don't always choose heaven and hell. Other people can force us into a hellish experience, and yes one can remain a good kind person, but it would still not be a blissful peaceful experience obviously so I don't get why in the afterlife souls go according to what they align with, but in the physical it is sort of up to chance due to free will, everyone is in the same place and reachable.

Maybe it's always been like this and not having the possibility of bad/hell would mean souls don't really have free will. Maybe existence is like some kind of math problem, we are still figuring it out so it goes wrong sometimes. Reassuring to hear that the goal is to move everyone towards love/heaven.

  6. Thanks a lot Melissa and Curtis! I thought was great! I did listen to a couple of nde experiences where the people that found themselves in hell, rather than heaven,we’re able to escape by calling for help from Jesus. They seemed to stuck there at first but somehow remembered that they could receive help if they asked for it.

  7. It's a nice interview. One thing sruck me as incoherent though, at least in today's terms, is about 'balancing love and wisdom'. Well love IS the ultimate wisdom, so in basic terms wisdom can never contradict love and therefore there is nothing to balance there 🙂

  8. I'm really glad he mentioned "baggage" because when you have been dealt a difficult hand in life it can be super difficult to be a wonderfully good, loving, happy, peaceful and helpful person. Sometimes you can have a really good friendly nature but you can only do so much.

  9. With all the information available now from NDEs and research thereof, I find it curious that so many people continue to philosophically speculate.
You know, for a very long time, all that people had to go on regarding the Afterlife were the various religions which purported to be from Divine revelation and philosophies based on human reasoning and speculation. Swedenborg said the source of his information was revelation but from who? Jesus? God the Father? Holy Spirit? Angels? Spirit-guides?
Typically someone who identifies themselves as a Christian mystic receives their insights while in Divine Communion. Certainly this is a better, more credible source than human speculation based on human suppositions and powers of reasoning. But it by no means follows that the mystic is infallible and their understanding is completely accurate.

The point is that the ways people have gleaned information about the Afterlife in the past have been extremely limited. But now there is an abundance of information from people who were eyewitnesses to various aspects of the Afterlife and have returned to report on it. Why would we need to take our information from any other source? Just because the experiences of a multitude of people who have been to hell but lived to tell of it, don't support a pet theory of ours, isn't it intellectually dishonest not to question our theories in light of the new evidence. Why hold belief systems when actual knowledge based on second-hand experience is available in such a huge quantity?

I prefer to integrate people's actual experiences with revelation from the Divine. I have to weed out statements they make that clearly are just their humanly generated suppositions/beliefs rather than any revelation God spoke to them while in the NDE. When one is in hell one is surrounded by deceptive demons constantly feeding lies into one's mind. Entertaining the lies of the demons is no doubt what made the person vulnerable to being drawn there by the demons in the first place. Clearly it's because of the belief they hold, such as being in hell forever, that they say "I just KNEW I was there forever". Obviously they were wrong because they're not in hell now.

  10. I personally feel content with the explanations Father-God has given me over the years, which is as follows:
The process of the purification by Divine Fire of all mis-creations by God's children that are not in harmonious resonance with, do not nest coherently with, do not integrate in a supportive manner with, God's Divine Design for each universe is necessary to complete before the end of each Age.
This is what has occurred in all previous Ages but previously there were not so many harmful children in any universe. There was not so very much that needed to be purified so it's more painful to do this time in this universe. Fortunately all the other universes in manifestation are radiantly reflective of Divinity and little needs to be purged.
It is only when everything fits together harmoniously and there is nothing that is harmful present, that the process of emanation/expression can be reversed and the process of re-absorption of the Many back into the One can be completed.
This re-absorption has been referred to as the in-breath of God; expressing/emanating the Many is the out-breath of God.
Then the ONE I AM rests and reviews all that has been and makes plans for further creation.

Then at the beginning of the next Age of Manifestation, the ONE I AM, God, re-members every-one, sequentially emanating all the children, from the First-Born Child to the last one created in the previous Age. Then we all pick up again from where we left off. But nothing harmful is allowed to persist into the following Age, ever. It all must be purged by the Divine refining Fire of God (which is not to be confused with the hell-fire corrupted by the demons and used by them to intimidate and torture).

Of course, the Lord prefers that all the harm-producing children be reconciled and redeemed, repent, ask for forgiveness and release all resentment and unforgiveness, thereby enabling the Lord to nullify all the bad karma (sin-debt) they've created or is owed to them in the sacrifice of Jesus. Then their vices can be replaced by the corresponding virtues. These virtues are bestowed upon the younger children by our Eldest Brother, the First-Born Son, taken from His own near-infinite store. The redemptees must follow Father-God's instructions and live virtuously, producing good for all and being fed virtue from Above, in-corpor-ating Good into their individuality structures. Thus they can be re-formed over time according to the image and likeness of the First Born Who is perfection and in perfect harmony with the Father and Spirit and Their creations. Then when the Fire of God, Holy Fire, purifies creation there will be enough good character to maintain the individuality structure intact. This is by far the preferable way.

But for those free-will beings that continue to resist the Will of God for Good with their own will for harmful, foolishly childish behaviors, when the Fire of God purifies them, there will not be enough left to comprise a solid structure of individuality that can endure. Whatever there is of them that is good will no longer be attached to a particular identity but will be a virtue or talent or attribute available to their entire group soul/life-wave.

This is how it has ever been and how it must be. Corruption simply cannot be allowed to persist and multiply. In fact this universe has become so horrific that ethically now the Most High will be justified in intervening earlier in His children's creations if He sees them going off the rails so badly again. He has promised that He will never again permit it.

  11. Hmmm…apologies, but this philosophy seems like kind of a "step back" to me. I had a NDE in 2007 which caused me to do research on the history of religion, other NDEs, astronomy, astrology, ancient world wide prophesy and philosophy, alchemy, anthropology, ETs, and of all things something I had very little prior interest in before…physics (and I'm still researching all of these). Please don't think that I think I have all the answers, or that I think I'm some kind of sage that "knows better", but in my research I've always gone with what resonates with me, not by one, two or a few sources, but what is found in common threads of topics in my research. I'm simply sharing what I've found.

I practice no religion…I was raised Christian (Lutheran), gave it up in my late teens/early 20's, and became an atheist in my 40's until I had my NDE. I found there are some truths in the bible. One is that there would be "a pouring out of the spirit in the last days". So, why would we refer to a 300 year old experience as a beacon? Much of what Curtis says makes sense but for me some of it doesn't. While I was in that NDE, what I saw of this universe is that it doesn't really exist, it's really like a dream (many, many NDErs have said this, or that it's like a play with actors/characters. IOW, not reality). Quantum physicists are finding that the "reality of the universe" does not exist. According to many videos I've seen on the reality of the universe the quantum physicist, one was more specific and said that their research shows only two possibilities: 1. it's either a sophisticated program running on a super computer (somewhere…??), or 2: it's made of consciousness. (I most definitely go with the "consciousness" theory). How can a universe seem to exist if it really doesn't?

So that said, what exactly is this "consciousness"? I guess you could call it "God", but for me that term brings too much religious baggage (dogma) with it, so I like to refer to it as "Source" or "Creator".

Another point is that by far most NDErs claim hell doesn't exist. That's what I've found because of my NDE because according to my church I'd committed "unforgivable sins"…that place my consciousness (spirit, soul…whatever you choose to call it) was in a place that was wonderful and when I found I had to come back to this place I so much didn't want to. So, how could this loving Source/Creator have created everything and somehow…evil spirits exist? They may indeed exist in this universe, but in the end, in that realm of the Source/Creator they can't possibly exist. So, an evil person's spirit must go through a "reset'. I've seen this in other NDEs where the person experience hell and were drawn up into the light after they observed the other suffering souls were completely withdrawn from their surroundings (I think they were observing their own consciousness). There are some that experienced hell, but didn't get to that point and came back, but were changed from selfish/materialistic lifestyles to become loving because of the "hell experience". Now, this seems to me that all NDEs (or OBEs) are lessons for ourselves and tailored to each individual and should never be used to encourage, support or start a religion. For me, the only religion to follow is unconditional love. After all, that's what existence is made of.

These are just my personal thoughts gleaned from my research (and they do resonate with many others, but not all, and that's okay). At this point I doubt anyone can be an "expert" and know what it's all about. I mean no offense to anyone who might disagree, nor do I presume to sway anyone from their beliefs. Peace and Love to all.

  12. The most powerful lies are those that deviate only slightly from the truth…As a Christian I cannot accept this “enlightened revelation“ because it doesn’t agree with the fundamental gospel message of salvation.

  13. I'd like to preface my comment with appreciation however when I take in these sorts of conversation addressing concepts of eternal import I listen in an almost meditative state as to really absorb the information for deep discernment and understanding. The content becomes significantly less palatable when so many commercials of complete distaste stomp so loudly and crudely into the room . I do apologize for the negative criticism but felt I uncharacteristically compelled. Your content is great as your authenticity is obvious.
