I miss THIS OPRAH
I’m grateful for everyday of my life.
Every experience I have.
Every connection I have.
I was with my father when he died at age 93 in a nursing home. I was holding his hand and he said to me "I want to go home" and I knew which home he meant. In that moment, his face turned "gold" and it only lasted a few seconds. I had heard about the death mask from nurses and I knew what they meant after having seen it. The colour to his face returned and he was gone. It was a very peaceful death and I am forever greatful that I was there with him. I loved him very, very much and his last gift to me was to allow me to be there at the end of his life.
It is so refreshing to see real simple people, without the filters.
My mother waited until she was alone to die.
