What an amazing story and if I were God and you ask me if it was ok to be gay I would of bust out laughing too if that's all you did in life your good you can't help who you love right I'm happy for you that you know God loves you no matter who you love as long as you love him thank you for sharing your experience that was uplifting I enjoyed it
This story seems like a story. But I don't know why someone would feel the need to create such a story when there are literally millions of actual near death experiences that are truthful

God is perfect and god made us. And god doesn’t make mistakes. Being gay is not a choice despite what hardcore bible thumpers think. God loves all his children equally.

sorry but i dont believe this story at all. this is NOT AN NDE by any means. since the person was alive
the fact that this "light" or this "jesus" evaded the question tells me that this not from God. God would have told him/her? (the name sounds female and yet this person became a catholic priest?) the truth.
also the scales part reminds me of the story of st paul and yet the story feels to be made up.

Jesus loves us unconditionally, therefore he warns us against things that could harm us or others called sin whether we realize it or not. The bible is very clear about what we should not be doing and it is for our own good, just like a parent who sets rules for and disciplines their child.

It bothers me that he said he “struggled” with homosexuality and then decided to become a Catholic priest. And I’m Catholic. We don’t need any more of this kind of thing. We have enough of it already. And it’s not good. I’ll just leave it at that.
Some time in the late 90's early 2000's I had an experience where I was asleep in my room and this was after My then Partners brother( Jim) had died from being hit by a car while walking. I Remember hearing jim, say thank you for letting me experience both side of sexual experience, it balanced my chi. I was then aware of a GOLEDN beam of light permeating my body and filling me with Immense Love and peace. It was so much that I said "No I am not worthy of this," it intensified 100 fold. I then said Please stop I am not worthy and started crying. I woke up crying yet filled with JOY. I was Following the Red Road a Lakota spiritual walk, & way and still do. When I went to our " Inipi", or Prayer lodge the next week I was Told that I was glowing by many people. I still remember the feeling. It was a feeling of peace and Love.

As an ordained Christian Minister I love this story! I know that God knows everything about us down to how many hairs are on our head if we have hair on our head and he knows the way we were born. Having a gay daughter I know that she was born this way, I raised her and watched her awkward struggle trying to be someone she wasn't. I believe God loves every single one of us no matter what and as I said he knows our heart and our every thought whether it be good or bad. Being a good person is key as far as what I've learned from God and in life.

If we read the Bible in proper context we see that in Ecclesiastes teaches strongly against this. 5 For the living know that they will die, but ithe dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for jthe memory of them is forgotten. Another words the living know nothing of the dead and the dead know nothing of the living here guys. Again proper Bible context guys.

Hallucination
I had an OBE back in the late 1970's when I also asked God "Will you send me to hell because I am gay?" to which the immediate response was to be bathed in an indescribable loving swirling energy and told "Within my love it has no meaning." God and God's unconditional love are both absolutely real. It was like being hugged by God.
I think jesus basically said he is not angry at people being gay. But it is a massive question for so many people. It stops many from believing in God.
Agnostic guy says one faithless prayer and meets God while other believers cried out and got nothing..ever..
Jesus responded just as I expected He would.
