The best thing this person could do in order to figure out why they keep gravitating towards people who are “dying,” is to read or listen to the Tibetan book of the dead. It has incredibly important and helpful information inside of it.
I have a friend who is a Medium. She decided to become an "end of life" doula to those who are close to dying (in hospitals and aged care homes etc). She keeps them company, talks to them about their fears and reassures them that their loved ones are waiting on the other side. I think she is especially helpful to those who are alone and have no family to comfort them.

Seems to me the answer is easy since you've been to the other side you can make these people feel comfortable in their transition that they might be looking towards sometimes death can be a scary thing but maybe you can make it easier for them
