Substantial research into near-death experience focuses on their frequency, typical characteristics, attainable physiological and psychological brings about, and frequent aftereffects. This information and facts has been greeted by the general public, to a substantial extent, as comforting leisure, and it has been dismissed by experts, to a huge extent, as meaningless tricks of the brain.

Are NDEs a lot more than that? Are they vital more than enough to demand the serious consideration of both scientists and the general public? I argue that NDEs are significantly a lot more than amusement or mind methods, but in reality are critically essential to experiencers, to scientists, and to the general public at huge.

In this IANDS convention presentation, Dr. Bruce Greyson discusses why NDEs make a difference to experiencers, why they matter for our scientific check out of the romantic relationship among mind and brain and for scientific ideas of survival of consciousness after death, why they make any difference for how we present healthcare treatment, and lastly why they make a difference for how we all guide our lives and view our job in the universe.

  1. Haha psychedelics do this too fwiw
Chris Langan says we can break out link to God, as it says in the Bible, deny me on earth and I will deny you in heaven…based on this talk, might be food for thought, maybe turning away from the our creator/divine spirit is a one way trip, so be careful be mindful of the ego.

  2. You have completely changed my life. I have always known in my Self that there is more, I am more, I am not my brain, we are not our bodies, but I wasn't Truly awakened until I lost my Beautyul man in September that'd when I came to the Path of spiritual enlightenment, I take a positive and gift from him, by his transition, I know you all, I know the path I have always needed to be on and the purpose of life and consciousness. My life will never be the same again. I am yearning for kindness and love in every way because that's all that matters and always will, eternally. I truly will live out my Task n purpose here until I can be with him again. ThankQ for all the wonderful work you do. This a complete Game changer. ♥️♥️

  3. One thing I noticed about people with near-death experiences is they all write books. And although it's nice to have that information available, I can't help thinking that the motivation for many people whether they've had a near-death experience or not is to become speakers and authors. Trying not to be cynical

  4. Fenwick, Moody, Greyson, all have a very important message for mankind. I've never had an NDE, but exhibit the post NDE psychic change after becoming clean. My hope is that more people become interested in this topic.

  5. I really like this topic, and I would really love to believe that life goes after we die, but I am just too entrenched in the science of knowing and proof. This topic, just like believing in heaven or going to heaven just seem seems like the bribe of society to try and control all of us to live productive and honest lives out of the fear of not if we don't. If both of these things are true, we may never know until our time is over. At least with this topic and NDE, it is using science to try and understand and try to find those proofs and definitive answers and I'm all for that. Organized religion and the fear of not going to heaven if you don't follow the "rules" will still be the thing that keeps people more or less on track. I'd like to live my life knowing that when, how and why my life ends, I just live on after death and not have to live by any "rules" set to keep me in some kind of societal path. Maybe "how" we live our current life will determine what kind of afterlife we end up in, who knows, but I am intrigued and am researching this topic and Dr Greyson like the rest of you. X Files nailed it, I want to believe.

  6. My mom Is a Bible thumper. I showed her this video and she kept on asking me well where does it say this in the Bible?? I shook my head. She insists if it's not written in the Bible then it's irrelevant. I'm not against the Bible, but this video makes sense to me. This is what I believe in. The Bible used to have reincarnation in it but was taken out 500 yrs AD by the Emperor and never was put back.

  7. Sir you are a true humanitarian Genius! Your work is deep and profound not only about afterlife but what spirituality truly is! True spirituality is not about only deep intellectual concepts that majority of this pseudo teachers out there sell, but it comes to compassion, giving with profound meaning and necessity to others sometimes at a great sacrifice to self! These activities are not easy in real life. God Bless you and your profound work! I absolutely Love it. Thank you so much

  8. Unfortunately the latter discoveries made by Sam Parnia and a colleague of him, (seems to) show that even after hours and hours of death, some molecules and cells, some cells, could give consciousness or conscious thoughts, so it seems, again, to be just a complicated biological, better saying biochemical happening…….. Let's hope it's not thus
