Actually, in my own mind, I believe that living on Earth and both learning and teaching others lessons is
exactly why we are here. Yes, everything is known… but not necessarily by each of us while we are
here experiencing a mortal life. Some of these lessons are really difficult and can only be learned here
on Earth. How could one learn about the loss of a loved one in the spirit realm where everyone there
KNOWS that we are all immortal? Many other lessons are similar. Reincarnation is optional but life
here is made sufficiently attractive that we volunteer for it over and over again. I consider this as
how the soul is polished to its ultimate purity and that without this polishing, it can't ever be perfect.
The desire for ultimate perfection is truly overwhelming. Life really is the university of the soul…
and when we leave our earthly life, that's when we graduate and move a little higher in terms of
our consciousness.

Am i the only one who fears not being myself? or my loved ones staying my loved ones? Im so hurt by the idea that my spouse and the love we have for one another cant continue into the afterlife. thats such a cruel thing to believe- that all he was ever good for was to fufill my "human desires"…..i dont want to believe its that superficial for one seond. no one prays and wishes for romance just so its all done and not something you care about after you shed a physical body…

I've heard that some lost or censored Gnostic Scriptures or some mystery schools of early Christian sects even say that "Hell" or the "Lake of Fire" is actually redemptive ultimately, and reincarnation is universal. Thus, reincarnation is not solely Buddhist exclusive or Hindu exclusive.
