You're making this way too complicated.
I don't deny your experience at all but you shouldn't feel cheated for not having a "full blown" one. The simplicity of it all is that God is Love. Jesus said He was the "Light" (think His Transfiguration), Therefore Jesus is God and the Light is God. The meaning of life is still summed up in the Two Great Commandments: love God with all of you and your neighbor as yourself. Anything beyond this is some tangled web of unending deception from the Evil One.
The rope you describe is unlikely to be your intestines, but the umbilical cord. Intestines are held in place by the mesenteric membrane, and cannot be wrapped around anything unless it has been dissected out, after which you would certainly be irrevocably dead. Removing intestines in this way would cut the blood supply and venous drainage, as well as destroying the nervous connections to the rest of the body.
