The answer to this is so simple, that most of us miss it.

I certainly did.

In fact, when I learned the answer I felt like I had known it all along.

“Of course! Of course! That makes so much sense. I knew it. Why didn’t I remember this?” were the thoughts in my head when I learned the answer.

I know you want me to give you the answer right now, but you’re going to need a little context to understand it.

First, I didn’t get the answer from a mountain top, a book or religious text, a religious guru, a scholar, or a philosopher.

“Wait, what?” I can hear you thinking, “Do you think you know more than the religious experts and the Bible?”

On this one I do.

“Outrageous. Blasphemy. Who do you think you are?”

Well, I know who I am. But this has nothing to do with me.

This is an answer from God.

God Didn’t Stop Giving Us Answers After Jesus Died

I used to think that the Bible was the only Word of God.

I don’t know why I thought that because it doesn’t make any sense at all. 

Why would God put all His thoughts in a tiny book and never talk to us again?

I’m not the smartest guy in the world, but I have no idea how I duped myself into believing that. 

God, or if you’re an Athiest, Not-God, has been dropping knowledge bombs on us since the beginning of timelessness. 

In fact, one of the many ways he gives us information has an overwhelming amount of evidence showing that it’s not our imagination, but in fact, an infinite, conscious source of unconditional love, that is giving us the download.

The Returners 

Millions of people die and return every year with an experience that they describe as “more real than real.”

No matter where they are from, what language they speak, what religion/non-religion/science/philosophy they believe in, or what culture and values have become part of their lives, the Near-Death Experience is a consistent experience across the board.

This crazy fact is one of the reasons major institutions like The University of Virginia Medical School, have been studying them for 50+ years.

There are thousands of people who have shared their experiences with researchers and the general public.

Most of these NDErs experienced a meeting/connection with “a light brighter than anything ever thought possible,” that “I instantly knew was God.”

Note: I used to think people who had NDEs were either hallucinating or experiencing a chemical brain reaction that happens to people as they die.

I now know that is not true.

Some NDErs just took in the experience of “feeling more love than I had ever experienced times a hundred million.”

Others didn’t let the experience stop them from asking God questions they have been wondering all their lives.

Questions like:

  • Who am I?
  • Why are we here?
  • What’s the right religion?
  • Is there other intelligent life in the Universe?
  • Is there a hell? 
  • Who would win in a fight, Jesus or Buddha?
  • Why do we fight?
  • and the one you’re reading this article to find out.

“Why is there evil in the world?”

This was sometimes asked with arrogance, “If you’re so all-loving, why do you allow evil?”

And sometimes asked with sorrow, “why did you let my husband abuse me so often and why did you let my son see it?

The Answer

The answer was sometimes given directly, sometimes in a metaphor, and sometimes by showing the future. 

But every answer was the same.

“So you can learn what Love is.”

The moment I heard this I felt a rush of simple truth penetrate every cell inside me. 

We Can Only Know Something if We Know the Opposite. 

What is Light without Darkness?

Is there Big without Small?

Up needs Down and Left needs Right.  

In this realm, the way we learn is through comparison. 

God created this dimension for us to know Him and to find a way to get closer to Him. 

God Said

One of his answers was as direct as the explanation above.

“None of this is done to you, it’s done for you. So that you can know Love.”

The answer he gave to the woman who worried why her son was allowed to see her being abused was to simply show her the future where he son is married with a family that expresses love to each other all the time. 

“Your son made the decision he would never do to a woman what he witnessed his father do to you.” 

I still get chills when I remember this answer. 

I think of how the bullying I got made me such a defender of people. 

It’s why I’m writing this for you.

Because you deserve to know the truth without being bullied into an answer. 

Sit with this in silence and you will remember. 

You knew this as a child because you had not yet forgotten who you really are and where you came from. 

And you will know it again.
