  1. Thank you for sharing your story Shawnise! You did very well describing your experience despite not having a lot of experience speaking in public. You've certainly been through a lot with all of your medical issues. I am glad you are feeling the love and care from your caregivers as I'm sure you gave to others when you were a caregiver. As a retired RN, I've realized (at least for me), it was easier and more natural caring for others than it is to accept help and care from others.   2. Shawnise is such a lovely person but I can tell she still might have some residual PTSD she will be healing, if needed. I know that because I have been assaulted in 2011 and had life shattering consequences. I didn't resolve them all either yet, apparently. She mentioned that her memory got affected. Mine got actually way better either due to the PTSD itself, the hard years after or the method I used to stay "afloat". I have realized, however, that having worse memory has its perks, also.
