I really wish people would start making reference to Greyson Scale (or NDE-C Scale) scores.
I see lots of people who have had STE's (spiritually transformative experiences), or OBE's (out of body experiences), etc and they are commonly trying to convince their selves and or others that they have had an NDE.
it is disappointing and generally confusing, every time someone in good health goes out of their way to try to identify as an NDE'r.
NDE's are important because they are associated with scientifically measurable observations and determinations. this quality of information is compelling to the postmodernist paradigm, that does not trust the philosophical powers of reason. so if everyone is going to subscribe to this paradigm why throw away Bruce Greyson's scientific organizational tool in the Greyson Scale (or the NDE-C Scale)? there is no good reason.
I personally have had an OBE that scores 80 out of 80 on the NDE-C Scale (similar to the Greyson Scale), that was the result of being ultra healthy. I have had a handful more of experiences that score between 17-39 out of 80 with NDE-C Scale too; this is all the result of healthy culmative practices.
these are ineffable experiences that can help us to evolve, if we are reasonable, and we are not even using the language that we have, to orientate our selves on the path.
The universe/reality is the training ground for consciousness we have been evolving for millions/billions/trillions of years through reincarnation
What a tremendous, tremendous contribution Dr. Raymond Moody has made to mankind! As a psychiatrist and teacher of classical philosophy with an atheist background, he has been in an ideal position to research and make the whole world aware of the near-death experience. His father's best friend from the army, who is Christian became his mentor at some point: what Moody has done so successfully and compellingly is to demonstrate the truth of not just NDE's, but of classical thought, religions and spiritual traditions. His application of the scientific method, his personal struggle with thyroid disease, for decades undiagnosed, but also his humanity and humility have made him one of this era's greats.
I hope my mom and dad do not get together in the afterlife to be honest……..They could not stand each other here on earth and I hope that God do not bring them together at the same table in the next life. That will be the end of the quiet and peaceful place I hope my mom went to.

Had my first nde in 1980 after 5 days of 105 temp. and have left my body many times since. each time it gets harder to return and one day I just won't.

David Bohm a quantum physicist explaines it as two particles that have been intimately or closely connected may be 1000's of miles apart and if one is affected by something,so is the other……..physics has caught up with Spirituality……..read a little about it.The unified field in physics shows that everything is connected.

Interesting article you published. For me the idea of a memory being retaining in a subatomic stasis is a bit difficulty to envision. My question then relates to the stability of the memory over time and the ability brain to reconnect and synthesize a particular memory with multiple and singular subatomic hole(s) in a coherent organization. When attempting to recall one memory, is the atomic structure altered as the memory is organized.

When my wife passed away from Cancer, I was by her bedside holding her hand. She went into heavy breathing and I could see her struggling for each breath and then I felt her life force go out and could see a shapeless spirit move up and out of the room. At this time she was still alive and took two more breaths before expiring.
