I was literally blessed via an experience like NDE although just like her l was perfectly awake and aware. Though in my case it wasn't from any religious perspective as hers was.

I can't say i've had a near death experience, but i've no doubt that many of the experiences people describe happened to them. I say that because i had an experience of God's love myself. Two friends of my younger brother were over visiting in my parents house. We were all standing in the kitchen. One of the brothers mentioned casually that the bible claims that Jesus Christ will come back again. I did not know that. The instant he said it i was overwhelmed with what i can only refer to as indescribable joy. I started pacing up and down the kitchen, repeatedly exclaiming "IT'S AMAZING!" I knew i looked like a complete madman, but i didn't care what anyone thought of me.

This NDE has a lot in common with a kensho experience I had while practicing Zen meditation. The experience also healed me.

All who have crossed to the other side have said it was full of so much peace and love , and that they didn't want to leave , unlike this unpleasant hellhole we live in now !

Hey everyone, am asking for prayers for my Grandma who is in a very risky surgery right now as I speak to live through it. SHe is 95. Grandma fractured her hip yesterday as it was windy and it tore a doctors receipt out of her hand as she was walking up a v steep driveway to the doctors. She tried to grab it quickly but lost balance as it was on a steep driveway. As we speak she's having a very risky operation as we speak, as it's difficult on the heart. So difficult that the anesthetist told her that she should have a non resuscitation order on it as it would be too hard on the heart. Which she agreed to. I don't know why they wouldn't try anyway. She would have wanted to if they said we can try. Anywho, hopefully it goes well and she lives. Should know in the next hour or so.
This is an experience accessible to many people, if not in its NDE "fullness", at least in its essence. It can be touched, while in mediation. It's not something one can do, by "efforting". It seems to be something that is "given", by "Grace". A symbol of this is the lotus flower, spontaneously opening up. It's something along the lines some nondual teachers call "falling from head to heart", a new radiant center (amrita nadi), where the essence of heart, love, spirit, awareness, "self", is touched.
