"Time slowing down" is something I experienced. I was in a State Police & one afternoon I was driving down a freeway in the right hand lane. I was passed by a van going over 100 miles an hour. I turned on the red lights & siren & chased the van. I later found out that he had a fight with his girlfriend & was intent on committing suicide. We came to a canal with a bridge over it & the driver jerked the steering wheel to the right & at that moment everything slowed down & all events moved very slowly & I saw each thing that happened in detail. The van crashed through the guard rail, slowly turned over & crashed upside down into the opposite bank of the canal. All this happened in slow motion & upon impact sped up to normal. Very strange incident.
Why is that guy so touching to listen to? I am a grown strong man and listening to him just about brought me to tears.
This man is compelling.
He is genuine! An ordinary folk with wisdom that gained from hardship and toughness!

The purpose of this life is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself.
Thankfully we aren't saved by loving God but rather because He first loved us and gave Himself for us.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unfallen humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ alone.
Anything added or subtracted from this is another gospel.
Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are solely for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all.
