You made an interesting statement, about how the Jews like to focus on the treasures of the Old Testament and the Christians like to focus on the treasures of the New Testament. Basically I like all 66 books, but the reason this stuck out in my mind is that, me being a Pentecostal, I find that many people are focused on speaking in tongues or some other gift, when we should be focused on the Giver. Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father. Imagine the treasures many Pentecostals are missing because they are focused on the gift rather than the giver. Then there are those who believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit were just for getting the church off the ground. Isn't the Holy Spirit part of the Trinity along with the Father and the Son? Of Jesus it says, "Yesterday, today, and forever He is the same." But are these people saying that the Holy Spirit was only for the 1st century church? That doesn't make sense.
Why cant you follow both testament
Yes!! A beautiful call arose in me from the Holy Spirit a few years ago to acquaint myself with the beginning of the Bible – the old testament. He showed me the correlation between the two covenants, the connection to Christ, and revealed His nature and character. I was able to attend a Seder Meal at my protestant church. It truly was a spiritual, humbling experience that left me speechless and in awe of our mighty Savior and Living God.

This is great, but I encourage all to trash their televisions. Sports attire is immodest, for example, and professional sports consume a lot of money and time that could be used for evangelizing or feeding, clothing, and housing the poor!

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts?
They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life.
That's what Acts 2:38 is. It harmonizes with Matthew 28:19, and all the other salvation scriptures.
We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ… Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOTH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans.
Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH or OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ set up the way, and we must come the way he set up to be saved or to receive it.

I feel that way in reverse about the HD TV. With the Jewish people coming to Christ and expounding and illuminating on the true meaning of things we thought we knew from the old testament were only in part .I can not watch a testimony of a Jewish person without just being awed , wowed ,blessed. Every day the Bible is read at the Catholic Mass. Every bit of Scripture between the OT and NT is lined up. The Jewish feast days line up precisely with the Catholic feast days. If you want the deepest relationship with Jesus, do as Paul commands, and keep the feast. The Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus. The full inheritance exists only in the Catholic Faith. I’d encourage you to check out Scott Hahn’s books, and talks.

I once spoke to Jesus. It wasn't a near death experience, I don't know really what it would be considered. In 1986 I was 5 years old and I was severely burned with 3rd degree burns over a third of my body (mainly just my face and neck). I was airlifted to Stockton from Modesto and a couple weeks later I was transported to Galveston Texas to the Shriners burn hospital for children. After months of skin grafts and rehabilitation my mother and I were on our way back to California. We had a layover in Dallas and in those early days I was quite the sight. I had a mesh mask over my head and bandages all over. My burned skin still visible behind it all. It seemed like everyone was staring, pointing and snickering at me and about my mother, "the horrible woman who could allow this to happen to her baby" at least that's what she heard in her mind. My mother looked down at me through the tears welling up in her eyes and when she saw the look of sorrow on my face she lost it. She began to scream in all directions, "what the f@#$ are you staring at?", amongst other things that I didn't really hear. I didn't hear them because I heard a voice in my right ear. It was a man and in my mind I could see him and myself sitting in the wheel chair with him bending down next to me, smiling. I said "JESUS!" in my mind and he said "yes Danny" he said "look at your mother what do you see?" "Pain" I said. He asked if I wanted to help her and heal her pain. I excitedly bobbed my head in acknowledgement and be with his hand on my shoulder said "ok. Grab her hand and say exactly what I say to her.". "Ok!" I exclaimed. His words were, "it's ok mommy, they don't know what they are doing." As soon as I said those words I felt a feeling of joy and love that is indescribable flow through me to my mother. She immediately collapsed down on top of me hugging and kissing me. "My sweet little boy. You're so smart and kind." She smiled for the first time in months and wiped her tears. She began to push me to the gate and we were on our way home. For the rest of the trip whenever people would stare we would smile at them if we noticed but to be honest I don't really remember anyone staring too much after that. I'm sure they were but it didn't bother us at all. My mother wasn't even there when I was burned but she got to see all the horrible aftermath and endure the blame and shame of strangers for it. My mother has probably repeated this story thousands of times, always missing the most important part. Each time she would emphasize how smart, kind and brave I was not knowing what until this very day I have never told anyone before. They were his words not mine.
I was in an evangelical Christian seminary, getting a Masters of Divinity. I was inspired to research Judaism, as I was studying the Prophets. What I discovered disturbed me greatly.
So, Hebrews 9:22 says “without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.” But where is this found in tanakh? Look for it. You won’t find it written anywhere.
I was surprised to find out that this is only one thing the Christian Church lied about. But there are plenty of other lies they are proclaiming. But you just have to approach HaShem with a sincere heart to find it out.
The Apostle Paul was a liar, who said anything he wanted to, because he was preaching to Gentiles who didn’t know Torah. Almost everything he preached wasn’t just wrong; it was blatantly wrong.
Return to HaShem. Forsake the man who commands you to eat his flesh and drink his blood. He did not serve HaShem.
Yeshua is a false god.
Yes! The Eucharist is the meal of the redemption of sins (cruelties). It is a basic frutarian meal obviously. Instead of swallowing cruel animal flesh and soul, why not swallow compassionate Jesus blood and soul. If we are barbaric enough to sacrifice animals thinking it is their Creator's will, then Jesus prefer for us to imagine that doing it to Jesus and then swallowing him and his blood too is a much better improvement towards us liking the Creation. For it is in a vegan meal that he made it so.
And that goes to say that it is much more then just a Jewish saga!!
