Interesting when you think of how people have referred to narcissistic abuse as demonic, makes sense
It's actually hard to go to a bad place , so why are so many damn near breaking their necks to go there ? Oh well more work for me .
Perhaps I am misunderstanding, but around the four minute mark he makes reference to our good thoughts coming from heaven and bad thoughts coming from hell (paraphrasing). Are we not capable of forming our own thoughts outside of those two conceptual realms? Is our only thinking responsibility to choose between thoughts coming from outside of ourselves?? My first time hearing this young man, but my initial impression is I'm not resonating with what he is saying on this concept. We are creators; that means we create our own thoughts, at least some of them, surely. We are not mere beings bombarded with thoughts from outside ourselves simply playing a game of making good or evil choices. I'll take any correction of my perception about what Curtis is saying that anyone would care to help me out with. I know Mel must have had a good reason for interviewing him.
hi melissa- is god going to cater to my desire for hell, or will he actually do everything he can to help me feel better suited for heaven before i even have the chance to choose hell? curtis seems to imply (through swedenborg) that god is too respectful to what we want- including hell/ harming others. so why should i believe that love and truth prevails? whats the end END game? how can i believe all that unconditional love of god is acutally worth something? because these days i am very doubtful god even cares enough to bring everyone to heaven eventually. just sounds like all that god and angels are good for is damage control in hell and not actually helping them in leaving- through their free will or not.
This is a great series. I love how the NDE accounts give us the proof and message of Heaven, while Curtis' explanations of Swedenborg's theology give a very logical and practical understanding that we can use in everyday life. There seems to be a parallel with what he is saying about Heaven and Hell being a creation of our mind – as many NDErs say similar things, emphasizing that what gets us to Heaven is not our belief in certain dogmas but rather the state and content of our Heart. Thank you for all the hard work you put into sharing these messages.
Threw my research it seems the spirtial world workss with ur belief system so if u have a hard time or refuse 2 let go of a belief they dont push it. They gave u information in a belief neutral way so u decide what it means from there.
I get what he's saying about choosing our thoughts but I don't agree with labeling every negative thought as coming from hell. In fact, this seems harmful, especially for people coming out of a fear based religious background We do need to recognize that we are not our thoughts, we are the awareness that can observe them- then we can ask ourselves whether they are true and helpful or not. And we can know when a thought is true/good because our Spirit is from God and part of God, and recognizes what is true by whether it resonates with love, peace, and joy (which are aspects of our true nature) or if they bring fear and suffering. And a lot of the thoughts running through our minds are just a commentary on what's happening, or planning what we're going to do. In other words, neutral.
My reaction is different. I've seen maybe a thousand NDE accounts and this heaven and hell stuff strikes me as closer to some of the unfortunate aspects of historical Christianity than it is to the core of what NDE's reveal. Second, not all Christian mystics are agreed on everything. For example, Julian of Norwich famously said I saw all of creation at one time, and everything in it was good. In her story she gets in to her struggle with reconciling her experience with what the church teaches – in relation to sin, for example. Her most famous quote is "All manner of things are well." She saw all that was created and saw no sin in it. Her experience strikes my as much closer to modern NDE's than Swedenborg's writings. Third, if you think modern Christianity's teachings about heaven and hell can put people in fear – I don't think sitting around trying to tell whether each of your thoughts is coming from heaven or hell is much better. Good luck with that one, I think I'll pass. Fourth, early Christianity during the classical period and beyond looked at evil as insubstantial, that is, there is no substance called evil. Rather, evil was defined as merely the absence of the Good. And everything in this created world suffers from some level of "privation of the good." That's what makes earth what it is, instead of some form of heaven.
I have a question when it comes to us planning our life prior to being born and after our passing when we have our life review. How do mental disabilities such as underdeveloped brain functions fit in with our lessons to be learned here o Earth. There have been many studies with serial killers that have done brain scans and have found that the part of the brain that processes empathy is underdeveloped. If the person is unable to feel these things then what lesson does he or she learn when having a life review when experiencing the pain they put people through when they had little to no chance of changing those actions? If I planned my life knowing that I would be physically unable to control these behaviors then why would I feel sorrow of the pain I inflicted on those on earth when having my life review? I would know that I was unable to have empathy so what could I have learned from those experiences? Its like someone planing to have turrets during their life then after they die they feel bad for cursing and physically assaulting others when having their review. They were genetically unable to control these behaviors so what lesson would they learn? These are genuine questions Ive had and have bee unable to come up with a good reason. If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it…thank you.
I wonder how many of the holocaust Jews had enough love and wisdom in them to make it to heaven? Wouldn't they have been shocked to find out that they went from a horrible situation to an even worse one! I'm sure Sweetenborg must've told us how to know where they are, right?

When I notice thoughts or feelings that are not peaceful, not loving, not understanding, not virtuous and recognize that the adversaries are implanting me with their temptations, I do not talk to them or engage with them.
I immediately pray, Father-God Most High and Holy, True and Holy Lord Jesus Christ, Most High Son of God, True and Holy Most Holy Spirit and Archangel Michael, please clear me and remove everything and everyone that is harmful. Please bind them, hold them in abeyance and take them to the Most High Father to do with them as He wills. Please Holy Spirit, purify me with Your Holy Fire of all residual effects of the harmful things or beings that have invaded me. I ask these things in Your Holy Names, Father-God Most High and Holy, Lord Jesus Christ, Most High Son of The Father and Most Holy Spirit. I thank You All for hearing my prayer and pray that it is done according to Your Holy Will for the Greatest Good for All Beings. Amen.
I don't try to do anything myself because I'm not in a position to know exactly what's needed or best for everyone. But I know They do so I just ask Them to purify me and handle in whatever way They know is best. The relief is immediate. The stillness and silence within remains. The space where I and The Father are One and We can easily hear each other is maintained. The deeper, wider, higher and further He takes me, the more profound the peace and stillness and quiet satisfaction of our Union is.
"Lean not to your own understanding." Let Him do the driving. In this way the adversaries do not simply give up on you and go to tempt another. In this way we can co-operate with Father-God and Jesus in permanently removing them from the human mental, emotional and energetic (vital) fields. It's a great service to work with the Lord in this way.

No I don't think so. I have opened the Bible many times. I do not see the meaning in it. You can pour through it and you will never be shown any deeper meaning — it's always someone else declaring that meaning according to their interpretation.
