EDWARD F. KELLY is now a Professor in the Division of Perceptual Reports (DOPS) at the University of Virginia. He received his Ph.D. in psycholinguistics and cognitive science from Harvard in 1971, and put in the following 15-furthermore years doing the job generally in parapsychology, at first at J. B. Rhine’s Institute for Parapsychology, then for 10 decades as a result of the Division of Electrical Engineering at Duke, and last but not least by way of a private research institute in Chapel Hill. Between 1988 and 2002 he worked with a large neuroscience team at UNC-Chapel Hill, mainly carrying out EEG and fMRI scientific tests of human somatosensory cortical adaptation to normal tactile stimuli. He returned comprehensive-time to psychical research in 2002, serving as direct writer of Irreducible Mind: Towards a Psychology for the 21st Century (2007), Over and above Physicalism: Toward Reconciliation of Science and Spirituality (2015), and Consciousness Unbound: Liberating Mind from the Tyranny of Materialism – (2021), all revealed by Rowman & Littlefield. He is now returning to his central extensive-expression research curiosity – the application of modern functional neuroimaging strategies to intensive psychophysiological scientific tests of psi and ASCs in exceptional topics.
