Descriptions:

In 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander’s brain was severely damaged by a devastating case of bacterial meningitis, and he lapsed into a week-long coma. It was almost certainly a death sentence, but Dr. Alexander miraculously survived – and brought back with him an astounding story (told in his best-seller Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife). During seven days in coma, he was plunged into the deepest realms of consciousness, and came to understand profound truths about the universe we inhabit. What he learned completely violated everything he ever knew about brain, mind and consciousness, and drove him to question some of the most fundamental assumptions of conventional science, leading to a complete flip from his former worldview.

  1. I have Dr. Alexander's book, "Proof of Heaven". As a long-time skeptic, only recently returned to my faith, and now a senior citizen, I find his book, and many other NDE accounts comforting. My only concern is that sometimes I read of, or see videos of, negative NDE's. These negative NDE accounts don't jive with my newly found belief in an unconditionally loving God.

  2. I love and respect Eben Alexander fully and think he is 100 % genuine. But there's one thing I don't understand: Why is he amnesic in the other world if the brain doesn't have anything to do with memories? Is all our memories lost at the transition?

  3. 'this kind of smoke and mirrors'

its these kind of flippant inaccurate statements (by a scientist no less) that make it hard for skeptics to be swayed.

smoke and mirrors would indicate intended deception by the entire body of science.

if you, a scientist, can't be any more deliberate and precise with your words why in the world would I trust that you can be with the subject of them

  4. "IT'S ULTRA REAL…FAR REAL THAN THIS WORLD…IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT IT ALL INTO WORDS…DEATH IS NOT THE END OF ALL. IN MANY WAYS, IT LIBERATED THE SOUL, REUNITING US WITH SOULS OF DEPARTED OF LOVED ONES… WE MUST LOVE OURSELVES TO TRULY LOVE OTHERS, AND TO TRULY LOVE OUR ENEMIES…WE ARE PART OF THAT ONE MIND… TO ME THE DEEPEST SCIENTIFIC PROOF OF MY JOURNEY WAS THAT THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE IS BOUND TOGETHER AS A TAPESTRY OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, FOR THAT LOVE HAS INFINITE POWER TO HEAL." Thank you, Dr. Eben Alexander.

  5. Does anyone believe that Eben Alexander was found guilty for malpractices? If critics claim he's guilty for malpractices, don't just write about it, actually show the evidence! Kind of like what critics say to Eben Alexander's books, huh! Critics should show the evidence (if they have any) to people and let them decide how convincing or how pathetic the evidence is! It's so much easier to debunk Ebens' critics than for critics to debunk Eben. Seriously, I doubt that he's guilty for malpractices!

  6. who edited this, someone who has regular blackouts? it keeps going to black and coming back. what were you thinking, dying and coming back again and again? no thank you!

you're losing me, iands. i've had a nde, and i look to others who have had them, but these videos are no longer getting to the point.
